I made bread pakora for breakfast today. It’s very simple bread snack which can be prepared in half of the time of making bread. I used whole wheat bread and it came out very soft and tasted yummy. I had to make few changes in the recipe. I didn’t add any spice as I thought it would make it bit spicy. I added egg to the bread and it turned out soft and yummy.

What makes this dish unique is the way I prepare the pakora.  Most of the ingredients for this recipe were already in my fridge when I was working on other dishes. I mixed a few things from my fridge and pantry to make this delicious potato bread snack. This dish has gradually become our go-to stick when we crave fried food. Slices of bread: Brown or white bread. Sandwich bread is best for this recipe. Potatoes: Boiled and mashed potatoes Tomatoes: Cut into thin slices. Slice of cheese: Here’s how to prepare the cheese layer in the sandwich. Flour of first quality : for the preparation of the bread spread Rice flour: Rice flour to add to the pakora dough. Recipe notes and best practice tips

  • Boil the potatoes with salt so they are moist, not dry. You can also use leftover mashed potatoes.

  • In a separate bowl, add mashed potatoes, salt, black pepper, cilantro and lime juice and mix well to make the potato filling.
  • To make up a sandwich
  • Take a slice of bread and put 3 slices of tomatoes on it. Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper.
  • Put another slice of bread on top and put a slice of cheese on it.

  • The roll is now ready. Brush it on all sides with the mashed potatoes and the herbs.
