Fried Egg is a universally liked dish in Asia. This simply seasoned dish is not only tasty, but also healthy. Various recipes for fried egg are available in every food magazine. However, the most delicious and healthy fried egg is the one made in a traditional “japanese-style”. This is a special fried egg that is made by a few simple steps. The ingredients of this egg are as follows:  1) A large egg (1-2 pcs) 2) Chicken meat (1-2 pcs) 3) Spring onions 4) Salt 5) Sesame seeds (1-2 spoons) 6) Teriyaki sauce (1-2 spoon)

Fried eggs are for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. They are the perfect breakfast food, or you may serve them at a brunch party with a side of fries. They are great for salads and sandwiches and are the base for so many other breakfast dishes like huevos rancheros and breakfast pizza. Fried eggs are a great source of protein and good fats, so it’s wise to include them at meal times.

I really like eggs. It isn’t a secret. But there is one condition: whatever egg dish I prepare, the eggs must be cooked to perfection. Cooking eggs to perfection is simple if you understand the proper method, timing, and temperature. I’ve already discussed how to make excellent boiling eggs and fluffy scrambled eggs. 

Fried eggs are another kind of egg that we often prepare. Noodles, fried rice, with a salad on the side. Crispy oil fried eggs are a favorite of ours. In this fried egg recipe, I’ll show you how to prepare a fried egg using my tried-and-true method.

We know that when it comes to fried eggs, everyone has their own tastes. Some people like it sunny side up, while others want it over easy. 

Over-easy eggs are turned and cooked on both sides before being removed from the pan, as opposed to sunny side up eggs. Sunny-side eggs are only fried on one side. In both kinds of fried eggs, the egg whites are firm and the yolks are runny or jammy. 

You may create any kind of fried egg by adjusting the cooking time using the timer technique. Make them simple, medium, and difficult. They’re all very tasty and simple to prepare.  

Ingredients

These are the only three things you’ll need. 

Eggs: For the best-fried eggs, you’ll need good fresh eggs. For that lovely appearance, use excellent local eggs with brilliant orange yolks. You may use desi anda or desi anda. 

Olive oil: The finest olive oil for cooking eggs is high quality olive oil. Extra virgin olive oil provides a lot of flavor and is a stable cooking oil because of its high smoke point.

Salt: a generous sprinkle of sea salt enhances the flavor.

To create the finest fried eggs, follow these steps.

Begin with a fantastic egg. Fresh organic eggs with a lovely orangish-yellow yolk look and taste delicious. If free-range eggs are available, use them. Desi anda is a popular dish in India that tastes great and looks much better.

One egg at a time should be cooked. If you’re just preparing for a few people, the best method to cook is one egg at a time. I don’t usually fry two eggs in the same pan since they don’t look as nice when they combine. Otherwise, two eggs in a big pan with adequate space between them would suffice.

Which pan should you use to cook eggs in?

I use a non-stick pan that is devoid of toxins, making it simpler to handle during shots. If you do use non-stick pans, be sure they are non-toxic and of good quality. In the recipe card below, I’ve included a couple of my favorites.

How to cook an egg

  1. You have the option of cracking the egg into a bowl or straight over a hot pan. If you’ve never cooked an egg before, I recommend cracking it in a bowl first, then transferring it to a pan.
  2. To prevent the egg from sticking to the bottom of the pan, heat the oil sufficiently. Pour it over heated oil and lower the heat to get extremely crispy edges on eggs.
  3. After that, if you want the yolk to be runny, fry it for 60 seconds. Cook the egg yolk for 60-90 seconds if you want it to be jammy. Cover and cook for 2 minutes for a firm yolk.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. After you’ve achieved nicely cooked eggs to your liking, season them to improve the flavor. Add fresh herbs like mint, basil, chives, or cilantro, as well as flaky sea salt. You may season with black pepper, chili flakes, or paprika if you want more heat.
  5. You may use the same skillet if you’re cooking more than one fried egg. Before each egg, sprinkle a little amount of olive oil on top. Heat the oil until it reaches just below the smoke point, then turn it off. After that, either crack the egg straight in the skillet or break it in a bowl and then pour it in.

Recipe notes: Tips & Technique

  • Oil splatters are something to be wary of. To do so, either move away from the stove a little. If you’re not cautious, it may potentially make a mess on your cooktop. 
  • When breaking an egg, crack it into a bowl first, then pour it. This prevents the yolk from breaking when pouring. If you wish to break an egg straight in a pan, make sure it’s near to the pan’s surface so the yolk doesn’t get messed up when pouring.

When it comes to Sunny Side Up,

  •  Heat olive oil in a small nonstick pan over medium heat. In the pan, crack the egg. Cook for 2 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and the white has fully set. Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper or chilli flakes.

For Fried Eggs That Aren’t Overly Easy

  • Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. In the pan, crack an egg. Cook for another 2 minutes, or until the white is completely set. Cook for another 30 seconds after flipping the fried egg once it has become crispy on the bottom. Serve with a pinch of sea salt and a pinch of chilli flakes or black pepper. 

For Eggs That Are Too Hard

  • Hard eggs, like hard-boiled eggs, may be made over. The yolk of over-hard eggs is cooked and firm. After 2 minutes on one side, turn the egg to get an over hard fried egg. Cook on the other side until the yolk is completely cooked.

  • Pour 1 tablespoon olive oil into a skillet (you won’t use it all at once, but you’ll need this amount in the pan for a crispy egg).

  • Heat the olive oil to the point where it shimmers in the pan.

  • Reduce the heat to low and carefully crack the egg into the skillet.

  • Allow the egg to cook over medium heat for a few minutes. To keep the oil spreading, tilt the pan gently.

  • Cook the egg until the edges are golden brown and crunchy.

  • You may boil the yolk to your preference. Cooking time for runny yolks is 2 minutes. Cooking time for medium cooked jammy yolks is 2 12 to 3 minutes.

  • Now that one egg has been cooked, you may fry another egg in the same pan without using any more oil.

  • If you have more than two eggs, pour a bit extra oil on top and repeat the procedure.
