Pete Ke Ladoo and Pete Sandesh Sand Dessert

Many sweets are made with paneer, a fresh, homemade Indian cheese. Paneer Pethe Ka Ladoo is delicious and easy to prepare. This recipe was suggested by my friend Usha who lives in Jaipur. I must say I really like the breaded sweets like rasguli, ras malai, sandesh and many more! I decided to try the breaded dessert, Paneer Peta Ladoo. Glass desserts are considered very elegant and of high taste. They are also usually very fresh, delicious and easy to prepare. Another reason I like to make sweets from plates is that it’s really hard to mess up a recipe! You can start with a dessert recipe from the panel, and if it doesn’t work, it’s very easy to fix it and find a new recipe! One of my other favorite desserts is Petcha, a famous dessert from Agra, India. Peta is made from white pumpkin and sugar.

 

These ingredients together are delicious. Have fun!

 

The recipe yields about 12 ladoo.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup glass of house vit
  • 1 cup finely chopped petha, sweetened
  • ¼ tsp. powder
  • 1 tablespoon of pistol to cover the head

Instructions

  • Scoop out the whey from the slice well and knead until it is almost a smooth, soft dough.
  • In a shallow saucepan, add the rooster, cockerel and cardamom. Place over low heat and cook, stirring and pressing constantly, until the paneer begins to shrink like a soft dough. This takes about 4-5 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and continue to stir in the pan as if you were making a pasta. This is the most important step in this dish; you cook just enough slices to remove the rawness. If you bake the plate, it becomes brittle.
  • Turn off the heat and put the mixture on the stove, let it stand for about 5 minutes, then divide it into 12 equal parts or make the desired ladoo size. Roll them between your palms and form round balls. Garnish with pistachios.

I use a homemade tray, you can watch my video on how to make the tray I made earlier. I also use dry sweet peta which is available in Indian grocery stores, you can also use canned sweet peta. If using canned rooster, drain and dry lightly.
