How to make tofu with salt and pepper

Here are the quick procedures I used to make my tofu with salt and pepper. In my cooking, including this dish, you’ll find that I often combine ginger, garlic, spring onions, and dried chiles. 1. Sliced and fried tofu

  1. Tofu cubes should be arranged in a single layer on kitchen paper towels to absorb as much water as possible.

2. Get the aromatics ready.

  1. Spring onions, dried chilies, garlic, ginger, and other aromatics are mixed with the tofu pieces.
  2. Garlic and ginger were roughly chopped, and spring onions were cut into little rings.

Note:

  • Additionally optional are the cumin seeds, which may be replaced with a little quantity of Chinese five-spice powder.
  • If you can’t find whole Szechuan peppercorns in the grocery store, you may buy the Szechuan peppercorn powder.

Tofu should be stir-fried.

  1. The dried chiles, spring onions, ginger, and garlic are sautéed in oil in a wok over low heat until fragrant.

  3. The tofu cubes should be completely mixed with the ground pepper spice combination after being liberally sprinkled into the pan.

  5. The tofu should be deep-fried until browned.
  6. Take out the fried tofu and place it in a strainer to drain.
  7. In an oil-free skillet, combine the white peppercorns, cumin seeds, and Szechuan peppercorns. They are dry fried till fragrant over low heat.
