Spicy Ramen Noodles Recipe with Instant Noodles

Spicy ramen noodles from a recipe that takes less than 20 minutes and is easily one of the best Asian-inspired recipes. These instant spicy ramen are the perfect spicy and tasty option for a cheap lunch. In this post, I’ll show you how to make spicy ramen with instant noodles.

These quick and super spicy ramen are perfectly seasoned with soy and garlic and taste like restaurant ramen. You can top them off with your choice of toppings, crispy fried mushrooms, chicken or a hard-boiled egg with jam – this ramen dish is the perfect comfort food.

A dish that looks like a fancy restaurant dish, but can be prepared with pre-packaged instant noodles like (Spicy Samyang Noodles). This makes it one of our favorite fast food options and the best upgrade from spicy ramen!

  • To prepare this spicy ramen, all the traditional Asian ingredients are easily available at home. If you don’t have any in your home, you can easily find them in any supermarket or Asian store.
  • You can customize these noodles with different toppings. Tofu, hard-boiled eggs, shiitake mushrooms, crispy fried mushrooms – use any of these ingredients to take your spicy ramen to the next level.
  • You can use instant noodles or rice noodles (gluten-free variety) at will.

Ingredients required to prepare spicy cabbage ramen

Cabbage: Plain white cabbage, thinly sliced

Broccoli stems: You can use bok choy or paprika if you like.

Garlic: for flavor. You can do it without the garlic or replace the garlic with chopped ginger.

Hagelsugar or brown sugar

Green onions: I use green onion stalks for flavor.

Sauces : Chili sauce, black pepper sauce, chili paste, soy sauce, rice vinegar.

Oil: Peanut or sesame oil

Noodles: Spicy instant ramen noodles or rice noodles. You can also use gluten-free pasta. I sometimes like to use Samyang spicy noodles for this. To make a super spicy and hot ramen, use 2x samyang noodles. This dish can be prepared well with any of them.

How to make spicy ramen noodles

With cabbage in 20 minutes

Cooking pasta: First prepare the ramen/noodles according to the instructions on the package. Leave out the spices if you are using instant noodles.

Vegetables for cooking : The next step is to prepare the cabbage. You need to slowly caramelize the cabbage with the jam and cook the broccoli stalks. Heat the oil in a pan over high heat, add the chopped cabbage and fry for a few minutes.

Ramen and vegetable mix: Add the sauces one by one, then the cooked pasta and enjoy.

  • You can also prepare this spicy ramen with bok choy or broccoli stalks.
  • When cooking and caramelizing brussels sprouts, make sure they retain their heat and don’t get mushy. Don’t let the kale burn, but cook it well with the sugar.
  • Feast on your favorite toppings, crispy tofu, grilled chicken, soft-boiled eggs, etc.
  • You can make a bowl of vegetarian ramen by omitting the boiled eggs.
  • To prepare extra hot and spicy ramen, use Samyang 2x spicy ramen noodles.
  • If you have miso paste on hand, use it to spice up the umami and make a spicy miso ramen.
  • To make spicy cheese ramen noodles, add grated cheese and enjoy cheese ramen.

You can prepare spicy ramen noodles with vegetables, chicken or seafood. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. You can use samyang noodles.

Ramen noodle variations

Spicy ramen with vegetables: In this recipe, I used collard greens and broccoli. For example, you can use the vegetable of your choice. B. Bell peppers, mushrooms, bok choy. You can also use tofu and miso paste to give the ramen an umami flavor.

Spicy Chicken Ramen: Instead of adding grilled chicken instead of vegetables, or cooking the chicken like I did with the vegetables, you can easily make spicy chicken ramen this way.

Spicy seafood ramen: Instead of vegetables or chicken, you can easily make this spicy seafood ramen recipe.
