How to make a spinach omelette

Ingredients for recipe: Spinach Omelette

Eggs – Personally, I prefer to use organic and free range eggs. You can choose according to your taste. Fresh – spinach, green chili, cilantro, green onions. Herbs and spices – salt, black pepper cheddar slice

Step-by-step recipe for a spinach omelette

word-image-4889 Take fresh spinach leaves, wash them, chop them and set aside. word-image-4890 Now take two separate bowls and beat the eggs in them. Separate the egg whites from the yolks and store in separate bowls. word-image-4891 Do the same with separating the egg whites and yolks in two separate bowls. Then add salt to taste to the bowl with the beaten egg whites. word-image-4892 Beat the egg whites with a whisk or electric mixer until soft, frothy peaks form. word-image-4893 When the egg whites are soft and foamy, as shown above, set them aside. Now beat the egg yolks. word-image-4894 Add the egg yolks to the foamy egg whites and gently fold them in. Put a tablespoon of olive oil in the pan and let it get hot. word-image-4895 Add the onions/vegetables, green chillies and ginger to the pan and fry for a minute on medium heat. word-image-4896 Now add the chopped spinach and ground black pepper to the pan and cook over a low heat for a few minutes. Now mix the spinach in a bowl with the eggs (beating the egg whites and yolks) and add to the pan. word-image-4897 Mix well, add ground black pepper and sprinkle with coriander leaves. word-image-4898 Add a tablespoon of olive oil to the side of the pan, cover the pan and fry the omelet.   • Beat the eggs well to get a soft omelet. I use an electric whisk to beat the egg whites to soft, fluffy peaks.
  • Another thing I pay attention to when making this spinach omelet is heat.  Cook on low heat, so that the eggs are well cooked inside.
  • Cover the pan while the omelet cooks. All these steps ensure that the spinach cooks perfectly and evenly in the omelette.
  • I used onions for extra flavor, you can substitute red onions if you like.
  • You can fold it like I did, or flip it over, bake the other side, and then put the cheese on top.

Instructions

  • Take fresh spinach leaves, wash them, chop them and set them aside.

  • Repeat the process of separating the egg white and yolk in two separate bowls. Then add salt to taste to the bowl with the beaten egg whites.
